Osse Publications is the creative home for the works of Osse Pierre, the literary name of writer José Pierre. The imprint was founded on a simple belief — that words can anchor people in moments of change.
The emblem, inspired by the trogon, Haiti’s national bird, reflects grace and resilience — qualities mirrored in every story and reflection published under the Osse imprint.
The journey began with The Fox and the Caterpillar by José Pierre, a fable about patience, trust, and unseen transformation. It continues through Anchored Leadership by Osse Pierre, and through new collections of modern fables exploring how hope, humility, and quiet courage help us navigate life’s turning points.
Through Osse Publications and the Children Heritage Foundation (tCHF), this work continues to link storytelling with renewal, education, and hope — one story, one reader, one child at a time.
OSSE PIERRE
Writing began as a quiet hobby for José Pierre — a way to reflect on the world and support the work he and his wife, Bernie, began through the Children Heritage Foundation (tCHF), helping children in Haiti through education and hope.
What began as a few reflections soon grew into a creative purpose: using stories to inspire and to build. His first book, The Fox and the Caterpillar, reimagines the fable form to show that even the smallest acts of trust can spark transformation.
As his writing evolved, José began publishing under the name Osse Pierre, a natural extension of his creative identity and of Osse Publications, the imprint he founded. Under this name, he continues to write new fables and reflective works, including his forthcoming book Anchored Leadership.
Whether writing as José or Osse Pierre, his voice remains anchored in reflection, renewal, and the quiet power of becoming.
